WEDDING PHOTOGRAPHY BASED IN SAN DIEGO, CA

Photography is one of the only things from your wedding day that will increase in value.

I want to create something that is meaningful and precious to you so that you can always go back to the heart and soul of your relationship.

Hey, I'm Kara!

As a photographer based in San Diego, I believe people are made to live in relationships, and the foundation of that is trust! I remember while planning our wedding, looking for vendors I began to feel doubt and anxious about who I was talking with. I thought to myself, are we a good fit? Can I trust this person with the most important day of my life? Do they care about this as much as I do?

That’s why building a relationship with my couples is the MOST important thing to me. I won’t just be another vendor to you on your wedding day, I’m going to show up. I’m going to be present, honest, open, and vulnerable, because that’s where true trust starts. Thats where real emotion and raw moments come from, and that’s what I want to capture for you, not fabricated perfection. Creating something meaningful and precious to you so that you can always go back to the heart and soul of your relationship and remind you that you can conquer anything together.

When It comes to working together...

I’m going to show up. I’m going to be present, honest, open, and vulnerable. That’s what I need from you as well because that’s where real life photos come from!

I’m all about those real life moments, not the fabricated perfection, because thats not what marriage is about. Marriage is messy, silly, and real, and that’s what your photos should be, because it’s so much better that way!

This is your big wedding day, and I want your photos to be everything you dreamt of and more! Weather that means a big wedding with all your favorite people, or a simple ceremony on the beach, I'll be there capturing what makes the two of you unique.

Looking back at your engagement and wedding photographs can remind you of the “nitty gritty”: why you fell in love with this person in the first place, the promises you made to each other on that day, and what you’ve been through together and came out on the other side.

I want you to be able to look back at your photos and feel the love you’re feeling right now, and even more so!

Photography that is San Diego based, but always willing to travel!

Kara is so incredible!! She kept me so calm on my wedding day and she actually had our whole group AHEAD of schedule before the ceremony, which was amazing. It gave us time to relax so we didn't feel rushed going into the ceremony. I also appreciated that she captured all of the moments and pictures we wanted but I did not feel like she was following me around. She is super efficient and organized - she asked detailed questions ahead of our wedding day to make sure we got every variation of pictures with family. I have already recommended her to any friends getting married in San Diego. We will forever treasure our wedding photos thanks to Kara!!! <3

I'm so thankful my husband and I found Kara. I knew within the first five minutes of our engagement shoot that she was the perfect photographer for us. She made us feel so comfortable and at ease. I actually screamed when I saw how good our engagement shoot turned out. When our wedding came around I felt so confident that Kara had it handled and turns out "having it handled" was an understatement. All of our photos are STUNNING - I've had multiple people compliment me on them, she made the day look even more magical. She works quickly and efficiently - we only spent 10-15 min taking bride/groom photos after the ceremony but have like 20 amazing shots. I also appreciated that she captured a lot of the in between moments; shots of our guests during the ceremony, the dance floor, speech reactions, etc. - I truly feel like we have moments captured of every minute of the day. She completely captured the energy and vibe of the day. So book Kara - you won't regret it!

I am so happy that we hired Kara as our wedding photographer. Originally, we booked with her to shoot at our large wedding, but eventually had to alter plans once the pandemic hit. Kara was super responsive, flexible, and understanding about us not knowing what our plans were. My husband and I are pretty awkward with photos & PDA, so the engagement shoot she provided really helped get to know her and be more comfortable with the camera. We eventually decided to have a "microwedding" and we were so happy with how the photos turned out. She captured so many raw emotions in that perfect day & she was really quick to turn the photos around. We got so many compliments from our family and friends on the photos we shared!

Did we just become best friends??!! That’s how we felt after meeting Kara! We LOVE, Kara! Not enough words to describe my appreciation for this gal- not only is she a total professional and provides you with extensive knowledge but is so incredibly personable. After suffering the devastating loss of my father at the beginning of this year we were having a really hard time moving forward with our wedding planning process. On a whim (and I’m convinced some heavenly angel help from my dad), I looked at the forecast in Lake Cuyumaca and there was going to be snow on a random Thursday in March. If we are having a December wedding- wouldn’t you want snow photos too? Well my best friend had sent me her contact information and next thing I know I’m calling her on my lunch break and we are hatching a plan to play hooky with her in a couple of days and get up there for some photos. After a treacherous journey and way more snow than we imagined we made it up there and shot super quickly since I was totally frozen. Kara was such a trooper and had us laughing and made us so comfortable. We absolutely loved our time with her and the photos were proof of that! My fiancé and I both said how happy we were in that moment and she lit the fire for us summoning our strength to start planning again. If you need a photographer to capture your love, energy, and hope for your future ahead - look no farther!

"With Kara, I felt trust from the beginning, she walked us through it, step by step, guiding us on a journey of our thoughts and our feelings for each other. She took the time to just listen to us and make us laugh and a strong feeling of trust developed."

Kara is incredibly talented and I'm so happy she was our wedding photographer. The pictures she captured are absolutely beautiful, she is truly gifted. On top of all that, she's super friendly, easy to work with and was great at communicating up to our big day. Working with her was honestly so easy, it was like having a friend as a photographer on our big day.
