What you wish you knew before your wedding

We all wish we had a crystal ball that could tell us exactly what to do, but unfortunately we don’t.  That’s ok though because I’ve asked you all what you wish you knew before you got married, or what your best advice was, and I’m here to share that!

So here we go!

1) Cherish it!

In the beginning of the day it feels like you have all the time in the world, and then all of the sudden it's over! Your wedding is going to go by SO fast! It’s almost weird how fast it goes.  So cherish it! Take moments and just soak it all in.

2) Take some private time with your new Wife/Husband to bask in the newlywed bliss!

After the ceremony and all the group photos are done, it's time for photos with the Bride and Groom and I always love to give my couples a few minutes to themselves.  It's probably the only time that they are going to be able to have time with just the two of them until it's over, and I think it’s so important to have.

3) Eat!

I can’t tell you how many weddings I’ve been to where the couple doesn’t eat! Make sure to tell your coordinator to bring you food and to set aside time for you two to eat! If you don’t you're going to be pulled in every direction in the excitement of you and your guests, and then by the end of the night you're going to be starving, and by that time the caterers will be gone.. Take time to eat.

4) Have a go to person

Assign someone, maybe a bridesmaid or your mother to be the go to person.  Someone who knows all the details and give your phone to them! A big way to be stress free is to give your phone to someone else. Let them handle all the last minute details that come up, and your day will go much smoother!
